I would like to clarify two aspects relating to one article (18-19th Nov.) and Mr. John Dawson’s letter (22nd Nov.) regarding declination of Falun Gong’s entry in Wellington Central Christmas Parade.
1. Falun Gong definitely won’t gatecrash any local activities even we
were treated unfairly.
In the seven-year long brutal persecution against Falun Gong, the Chinese Communist regime has used all inhuman means to force practitioners give up their belief, including electric baton shocking, injection of neuron-destroying drugs, deprive sleep for weeks, raping and so on. Even the state-run propaganda could not find any single retaliation case to utilise to deceive people. It is the moral value of truthfulness-compassion-tolerance that Falun Gong practitioners holding has led Falun Gong’s survive from the precedent persecution and more popularity around the world. Dr. Heather Kaven, a lecturer from Massey University argued about ‘Falun Gong phenomenon’ in her study on various religious groups under suppression. Despite the different nature of Falun Gong from other groups, the comparison indicated that the persistence on moral value determines Falun Gong no potential in becoming a retaliating/violent group.
2. Falun Gong is rather a meditation practice than a political group.
Some people consider Falun Gong a political group due to Falun Gong practitioners protesting against the persecution by the Chinese Communist regime. All Falun Gong practitioners’ pursuit is freedom of belief, the universal human rights. Falun Gong practitioners are mostly seen in front of the Chinese Embassy or on busy streets to hand out leaflets telling people about the genocide crime. In Wellington, you may see us at Lambton Quay holding anti-torture exhibition or anti-organ harvesting re-enaction. We believe that nobody in this world should be tortured and even beaten to death only for their beliefs. The inhuman persecution should be stopped immediately. Falun Gong practitioners like to go to parks to practise peacefully in China as do at anywhere else in the world.

First of all, to understand why the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecutes a peaceful meditation group, one has to be aware of the evil nature of CCP. Exposing the evil deed of CCP may help New Zealanders to understand why CCP could not tolerate anything good/different from it.
Not only Falun Gong, other people such as underground Christianity, Tibetan Buddhism and democratic activists have all been persecuted in China.
Secondly, Falun Gong practitioners helping Chinese people to quit CCP and
its affiliated organizations is rather treasuring people’s lives than
considering power. One may conclude that the failure of international communist
movement after the former Soviet Union and east European communist regimes
collapsed one after another. Also, Gods and the world won’t allow a regime that
has killed 70 million people through all sorts of political movements exist in
this world. Furthermore, on March this year, several witnesses accused CCP
harvest human organs from detained lively Falun Gong practitioners, which were
confirmed by an independent and reputable Canadian investigation team. The team
concluded that the crime ‘has never seen on this planet’. Therefore by helping
Chinese people to quit CCP at this moment, Falun Gong practitioners expect
people choose a bright future by conscience wakening should the CCP collapse
following other communist regimes. Only in this way, may Chinese people who were
forced to join CCP get no share of CCP’s inhuman crimes.
From the perspective of our government or local government, knowledge on the evil nature of CCP and the great movement of ‘quitting CCP’ may help to protect our country and people better. Cautiousness needs to be taken when dealing with a scoundrel regime that does not follow common rules, especially a party at its last minute rampancy. To date, about
15.5 million people denounced the membership of CCP and its affiliated organizations. The date that Chinese people have real freedom and world have no CCP is not too far.
