Timmins Times — Falun Gong practitioners from Toronto visited Timmins to raise awareness of a horrible crime they have accused the Chinese government of.

They held a media conference and information session in front of Timmins City Hall to discuss their belief that the Chinese Communist Regime is harvesting organs from live Falun Gong members.
Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, is a practice of meditation, gentle exercises, and with a focus on cultivating the universal principles of truthfulness, compassion and tolerance in oneself. Clement Sun, who was the spokesperson for the members of Falun Gong said members have been treated horribly by the Chinese government.
“The communists use lies and violence,” Sun said. “They can do whatever they want.”
Sun said there are 17 million members of Falun Gong in China, more members than in the Communist Party membership.
Although the Chinese government denies these allegations, Sun points out to an independent report that has been released by David Kilgour, former secretary of state for Asia Pacific and David Matas, an international human rights lawyer.
This study was released on July 6 this year and concluded that “there has been and continues to be a large scale organ seizure from unwilling Falun Gong practitioners.”
The report also stated that about 41,500 organs transplanted in China in the last six years might have come from organ seizures.
Sun said there are other circumstances that a very fishy and sinister to him.
“In Canada, the wait for organ donations can be months or years,” he said. “In China, they say they can find a matching organ in a week, maybe even less, two days.”
Sun said the reason why Falun Gong practitioners have been targeted is because due to the lifestyle they live, there organs are very healthy.
Also, he believes it is because the government was angry that it was controlling it.
Sun said the media in China has covered up for the government through propaganda, that he believes has been spread to communities in Canada as well.
“This is just like SARS cover up, 44 Canadians died of that and China took no responsibility,” he said. “They consider Falun Gong their top enemy.”
