HEADLINE: Falun Gong practitioners speak

BODY:

Practitioners of Falun Gong, a controversial Chinese religion, will hold a
news conference at Halifax City Hall today at 2 p.m. to talk about a recent
report that the Chinese government is harvesting organs from live Falun Gong
prisoners. China has denied the charge, but a recent report from the former
federal Liberal cabinet member David Kilgour and a human-rights lawyer said
the practice is taking place. Falun Gong practitioners say it is a spiritual
movement to improve health, while China maintains it is a dangerous cult.
