Let Falun Gong pursue justice

Billings Outpost, January 18, 2007

Mr. [Charles] Liu [Outpost, Dec. 28], why do you assume that others are unaware of the so-called “facts” about the allegations of China’s illegal organ harvesting? As far as all the relevant facts, it seems to me that Ms. [Katherine] Combes [Outpost, Dec. 21] has them all straight.

Even to this day, people are digging up so-called facts discrediting the atrocities of Auschwitz. “Where there is a will there is a way,” as they say. Thus, I am not interested in every Joe Shmoe’s opinion on the Kilgour report, which concludes China is harvesting the organs of Falun Gong practitioners.

All the same, I think you should take a closer look at your own “facts.” The U.S. State Department investigation you mentioned at Sujiatun was permitted by the Chinese government only after no less than three weeks from when the allegations were raised. Given three weeks, isn’t it possible that a criminal guilty of murder might use the time given to clean up the evidence? “Okay ... now you can come,” he said smiling.

My understanding is that the Nazis pulled the same thing off in the concentration camps, when the Red Cross inspectors visited, and what did they find but rose bushes and pleasant gardens? Then, would it be any trouble to raise a false wall in a hospital, or ship out a few people from there? I understand it is no trouble for them to ship 6,000 people in a night, by train.

And what about the gory photos you mention? Prove to me how they are discredited? What pathologist said so, and where did you get him or her? Are they credible?

I see no harm in what Falun Gong is doing. Let them pursue justice, I say; let them investigate, and let them speak; for it is their right to do so. Tell me how exercising their rights counts as muddling “the rational discussion” on China?
